How I Formed The Culture of Reading
As a child/teenager I was an avid reader my favorite thing to read then was the Atlas because while reading all these books I travel in my mind, daydreaming and getting lost in my thoughts So I get to see the representation of some of these places. Books were my favorite gifts to receive every time I was asked what I want, Me: A Book, excited.
When lamps were still very much in use I’ll burn lamps reading into the night, reading everything my hands could find, my Dad was an English and literature teacher he had a handful of books, finishing big novels in a space of hours, My thoughts become binding with the authors, I loved books.
I still love them, the smell, the smoothness of the paper, words that keep my eyes fixated for hours, making my heart race and mind travel, I always lived in another world, and wrote a thousand books in my head that never came to life till the growth happened and challenges of life happen but amongst all years this year 2022 brought back the zest to read and acquire knowledge mostly because I joined a book club on my frequently used social media handle, the likes of lengdung Tungchamma who reads 100 books a year.
So my goal for the year was to read a total of 20 books but I ended up reading 10 books, I don’t give it a pass mark, against all odds I’ve doubled my goal for 2023 and I know I’ll achieve it Here are the books.

This was one of my favorite books to read because of how much psychology was discussed in it. Psychology is one of my favorite subjects to listen to or talk about.
